I’ve built my career at the intersection of marketing and community development, working with nonprofits, businesses, and grassroots organizations to design campaigns and programs that inspire connection and drive meaningful change. My work has included leading communications at BGC East Scarborough, supporting housing initiatives like Race to Break the Silence, advancing strategy and campaign design at Rise, and collaborating with brands such as Lululemon, Tribal Carnival, Clore Beauty, Wingstop, and Bel-Aire to amplify cultural and community stories.
As the founder of Brown Gyal Diary (BGD), I’ve grown what began as a grassroots initiative into a vibrant platform with over 18,000 supporters worldwide. Through BGD, we host programs, events, and workshops for Caribbean women and girls, and manage the Caribbean Mental Health Directory—expanding now into a Caribbean Wellness Directory. This work has been recognized on platforms like Toronto’s #1 Breakfast Show, The Globe and Mail, and The Forum.
My commitment to community is personal. Living with depression and anxiety has given me firsthand insight into the importance of safe spaces, cultural connection, and access to mental health resources. This experience drives my dedication to using storytelling, marketing, and advocacy as tools for change—particularly for Caribbean communities who deserve representation and healing.
Today, through my company The Visionary Impact Hub, I help organizations and brands integrate social impact with marketing strategy, aligning communications with values that matter. Whether it’s through campaigns, events, or partnerships, my mission is simple: to animate communities, tell stories that resonate, and build legacies that last.
